Morisset Park is a suburb of the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia, and is located on a peninsula east of the town of Morisset on the western side of Lake Macquarie.
J.A. Gorrick, an early settler, became the father-in-law of the actor Bert Bailey in 1902. Bailey then purchased Gorrick's land and built an eighteen room house there, known as The Bluff. In 1934, the property was acquired by the Little Company of Mary, who nursed tuberculosis patients there. In 1947, the Brothers of St John of God acquired the site and ran a special school for boys.
The Brothers of St John of God sold the site to developer Keith Johnson and the Johnson Property Group in the early 2000's. The developer renamed the site to Trinity Point and redeveloped the site into a 'modern living' housing estate. The developer plans to build on the remainder of the site an eco-friendly 200 berth public marina, private and short term leased apartments, resort style villas, a function centre and a small shopping village.
The development had attracted considerate support and disapproval from the local community. The development was passed by the Lake Macquarie City Council on a slim majority of one vote (7 over 6, Mayors deciding cast vote).
